PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an electric power steering device for controlling the electric power steering device using a substitution value presumed from the past torque value instead of the detected abnormal torque value from the time when a torque sensor and a torque detection means for detecting the torque value indicated by a steering handle become abnormal until it is decided that the torque sensor or the like is failed, however, capable of presuming an accurate substitution value. SOLUTION: The control device for the electric power steering device is constituted such that the substitution value is accurately presumed using a double torque detection means of a main torque detection means and a sub-torque detection means for torque detection and using both torque detection values of the past main torque detection value and the sub-torque detection value before becoming abnormal.
