PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an expanded lattice body for a lead storage battery which forms each ear part in an exact size. SOLUTION: A plurality of punching holes 2a, 2b, 2c for ear-part forming are provided in a row at the center in a width direction of contiguous strip lead sheets, and an expansion processing part is provided at either side in a width direction of the row of the punching holes for ear-part forming. In the instance, the punching holes 2a, 2b, 2c for ear part forming are to be formed by three or more in a row in a length direction of the strip lead sheets 1 at the same time. Next, as the strip lead sheets 1 are conveyed so as to partly overlap on the last punching hole for ear-part forming 2c among the punching holes 2a, 2b, 2c for ear-part forming already punched, a simultaneous punching of three or more punching holes 2a', 2b', 2c' for ear-part forming is repeated so as to make a row.
