PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of predicting a life of a nickel-hydrogen storage battery with accuracy. SOLUTION: In the life prediction method of the nickel-hydrogen storage battery with one or a plurality of pieces used, a capacity is estimated from lowering of voltage, after the battery is in a state of full charge or overcharge, with the use of a relation holding good between a voltage drop within a given time after completion of the charging and the capacity, and the life of the battery is predicted by the use of the capacity estimated and a capacity likewise estimated before of the same battery.
