<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management system and an image forming device capable of equalizing the amount of data stored by each of a plurality of image forming devices connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A composite machine 1, having an HDD 11 storing data, instructs the HDD 11 to store data; and when the storing of data is instructed, the free space of the HDD 11 and the free spaces of HDDs 21, 31 of other composite machines connected to the network, are confirmed; and the free spaces of the respective HDDs 11, 21, 31 are compared, and data are transmitted to the other composite machine, having the HDD determined as having the largest free space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
