The console (2) has a cover (10) movably mounted on an enclosure (3), and freeing an upper access opening (7) of the enclosure in an access position and blocking the opening in two closing positions. An upper surface (19) of the cover, when in one closing position, has a position and/or an orientation different from that it occupies when the cover is in the other closing position. A gripping unit (11) lifts the console and has a part moving between a gripping position and a blocking position for the cover when the cover is in the former closing position.
