PURPOSE: A benzoxazole-based oil marker and a composition containing the same are provided to ensure fluourescence ability and stability. CONSTITUTION: A benzoxazole-based oil marker is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R is an alkyl group of 1-16 carbon atoms. The marker includes butanoic 2-(benz[d]oxazole-2-yl)phenyl ester, octanoic 2-(benz[d]oxazole-2-yl)phenyl ester, decanoic 2-(benz[d]oxazole-2-yl)phenyl ester, or palmitoic 2-(benz[d]oxazole-2-yl)phenyl ester. A composition contains 0.001-10 wt% of the benzoxazole-based oil marker and 90-99.999 wt% of organic solvent. The organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, normal propanol, isopropanol, normal butanol, tert-butanol, hexane, benzene, toluene, xylene, N-methylpyrrolidinone, N,N-dimethyl formamide, or N,N-dimethylacetate amide. |
