PURPOSE: A portable terminal for providing receiver information or caller information and operation method thereof are provided to display the receiver information on a screen of an originating terminal by transmitting the receiver information to the originating terminal. CONSTITUTION: When an originating terminal attempts to connect a call, a communication module receives channel information for identifying the originating terminal from a service server. A control module(220) determines a transmission channel and the originating terminal using the channel information. The control module controls the transmission of receiver information using the determined transmission channel. The control module displays the receiver information on a screen of the originating terminal. |
