A ticketing management method for residents and a system thereof are provided to eliminate a troublesome procedure for making/confirming an island resident application by issuing a discounted ticket without an ID procedure based on a resident transportation card and prevent illegal ticket issuance by checking the residents based on the resident transportation card when a passenger gets on a transportation means. A card issuer(200) issues the resident registration number transportation card to the resident through a resident confirming process. A ticket issuer(210) displays personal information of the resident and issues the discounted ticket if the resident is confirmed based on the resident transportation card when the ticket is issued. A resident checker(220) checks whether a person holding the ticket is the resident based on the information of the resident transportation card and the issued ticket by using a terminal installed to the transportation means when the resident gets on the transportation means. A management server(230) records resident change particulars including move-in/out information to a database, and transmits it to the issuer and a resident checker. |
