PURPOSE: A blue pigment is provided to improve color purity, and to improve thin film coating performance. CONSTITUTION: A blue pigment comprises a compound in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1-R3 is independently hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkyl group, substituted or unsubstituted C6-20 aryl group, substituted or unsubstituted C7-20 aryl alkyl group, and C2-20 heteroaryl group, or combinations thereof. X1 and X2 is respectively halogen group, or halogen-containing group. The blue pigment has maximum absorbance within 550-660 nm wavelengths. A color filter comprises the blue pigment. |
