A power managing apparatus and a power managing method for a mobile device are provided to prevent the mobile device from turning off or an abnormal phenomenon of a system thereof by preventing a voltage level for the mobile device from dropping due to an over-current. In a power managing apparatus for a mobile device, a state detection unit(120) determines a charged state of a battery(110). A voltage level detection unit(140) detects a voltage level of the battery(110) when the battery(110) is charged. A control unit(150) controls a driving state of relevant devices according to the detected voltage level. A power level restriction unit(130) restricts a power level supplied to the battery(110) while charging the battery(110). And, a driving signal output unit(151) generates a driving signal for driving the relevant devices according to a control of the control unit(150).
