PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp driving device capable of restraining distortion generated in a current waveform of an outer-electrode discharge lamp. SOLUTION: The discharge lamp driving device 1 is provided with a first and a second transformers 4A, 4B each equipped with a high-voltage terminal S1 connected to the outer-electrode discharge lamp 2, a first half-bridge circuit 5A and a second half-bridge circuit 5B driving the first and the second transformers respectively, a first capacitor 11A connected between the high-voltage terminal S1 of the first transformer 4A and the ground G, and a second capacitor 11B connected between the high-voltage terminal S1 of the second transformer 4B and the ground G.
