An LCD is provided to achieve uniform brightness by controlling a electric charge supplied to a pixel by applying a different gate voltage according to a gate line. An LCD panel(20) includes a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines intersecting the data lines, and a plurality of liquid crystal cells defined by the data lines and the gate lines. A data driver(21) supplies data to the data lines. A level shifter(22) is mounted at the LCD panel, supplies a first gate voltage to odd-numbered gate lines of the gate lines, and a second gate voltage to even numbered gate lines of the gate lines. The first gate voltage is higher than the second gate voltage. |
