A mobile communication terminal and an alarm control method thereof are provided to prevent a CPU resource from being unnecessarily wasted and performance from being deteriorated by executing an alarm operation only when it comes to the alarm time via an RTC(Real Time Clock). A mobile communication terminal comprises an inputting unit(110), an alarm database(141), a timer(130) and an alarm monitoring unit(150). The inputting unit(110) is for enabling a user to set up the alarm. The alarm database(141) stores alarm information according to the setup of the alarm. The timer(130) records alarm executing time information according to the setup of the alarm, and generates an event signal for executing the alarm if it comes to the alarm execution time in accordance with the alarm executing time information. The alarm monitoring unit(150) detects the alarm information, matched with the event signal, from the alarm database(141) if the event signal is received and requests the execution of the alarm. |
