A driving circuit for single phase BLDC(Brushless Direct Current) motor and a driving method thereof are provided to operate a switching element alternately by connecting a switching driving element between the switching element and a control chip. A control unit(202) generates a driving control signal for driving a motor in response to an external driving signal. A first driving unit(204a) has a characteristic of a withstand voltage larger than the control unit and selectively supplies the power to a first switching unit(Q21,Q23) in response to the driving control signal. The first switching unit supplies the power to one side of a stator. A second driving unit(204b) has a characteristic of a withstand voltage larger than the control unit and selectively supplies the power to a second switching unit(Q22,Q24) in response to the driving control signal. The second switching unit supplies the power to the other side of the stator. |
