PURPOSE: A method and device for controlling regenerative braking is provided to reduce loss in regenerative energy generated by motor load by stabilizing a DC link. CONSTITUTION: The voltage of a DC link is detected(S1). The voltage difference of the DC link is calculated(S2). Whether or not the voltage difference of the DC link exceeds a standard voltage range is confirmed(S3). A method for controlling regenerative braking enters a PWM frequency mode, PWM output shut down mode, or a normal mode(S4,S5,S6).
