PURPOSE: A control method of kimchi refrigerator is provided to store rice in the optimum condition by maintaining the moisture content and the content of crude fat of rice. CONSTITUTION: The temperature of a storage compartment where rice is stored is measured. A cooling apparatus is controlled so that the storage temperature becomes the target value. The target value is 7deg.C. The cooling apparatus is switched on if the storage temperature is above the upper limit, and the cooling apparatus is switched off if the storage temperature is below the lower limit. The upper limit is above 7deg.C and the lower limit is below 7deg.C. The upper limit is below 9deg.C and the lower limit is above 5deg.C.
