A method and a system for providing synthetic valuation information of a baseball player are provided to improve the objectivity in valuing the baseball players and to give ranking information based on the synthetic valuation information. A system for providing synthetic valuation information of a baseball player includes a primary record managing unit(200), a variable extracting unit(202), a synthetic valuation index outputting unit(204) and a web page generating unit. The primary record managing unit stores primary records generated during baseball games. The variable extracting unit determines the position of the baseball player, and extracts a predetermined variable for valuing the player from the primary records in correspondence to the position of the player. The synthetic valuation index outputting unit outputs a synthetic valuation index corresponding to the position of the player by using the extracted variable. The web page generating unit generates a web page which provides at least one of the synthetic valuation index and the ranking information based on the synthetic valuation information by using the synthetic valuation index outputted in the synthetic valuation index outputting unit. |
