PURPOSE: A system and method for controlling audio signal levels in a portable terminal are provided to offer information related to output permission time and current volume levels by searching the output permission time according to the current volume levels. CONSTITUTION: A matching table(192) stores one or more matching values matched with the output permission time of an audio signal according to each volume level. A volume measurement unit(110) measures the volume level of the outputted audio level. A time search unit(120) searches the output permission time of a matching value corresponding to the measured volume size measurement value. An information providing unit(130) provides information related to the searched output permission time and information for the measured volume level measurement value. |
