PURPOSE: A connector for a reinforcing bar is provided to easily and simply assemble reinforcing bars to each other and to prevent the assembled reinforcing bars from being separated from the connector. CONSTITUTION: A connector for a reinforcing bar comprises a casing(10), a reinforcing bar binding cap(20), and fastening bolts(30). The casing comprises a side wall(11) and a support wall(12). The side wall has reinforcing bar and binding cap housing grooves for receiving reinforcing bars(5) and binding caps therein. The support wall closes the inner center portion of the side wall. The reinforcing bar binding cap is received in a second inner diameter(R2) of the casing and has a third inner diameter(R3). The fastening bolts are fastened to a bolt fastening hole of the casing and a bolt housing groove of the reinforcing bar binding cap.
