PURPOSE: A remote wireless device and a battery management device for monitoring battery state information of an electric car and a method thereof are provided to check the battery state of the electric car at a long distance by using a car key or a cellular phone. CONSTITUTION: A user interface(210) receives a user input signal. A microprocessor(220) generates a state information request signal in response to the user input signal. A wireless transceiver(230) wirelessly transmits the state information request signal. The wireless transceiver receives the state information from a battery management device of an electric car. A display(240) displays the state information.
