PURPOSE: A storage battery, an assembled battery, an installation thereof, an electrode group, and a manufacturing method of electrode groups are provided to extend lifetime of the storage battery. CONSTITUTION: A storage battery comprises an electrode group(12) which laminates cathode, anode and a separator(40) interposed between the electrodes, a battery container which accommodates the electrode group, and electrolyte charged inside a battery retainer. The cathode and negative active materials are equally distributed inside the gad and negative polarity layers. An area in which the ratio of electrolyte and the positive active material is different is formed in the cathode and anode layers. [Reference numerals] (AA) First embodiment
