A salad bowl is provided to open and close a lid easily by elastically expanding an expanding recessed groove of the lid and elastically deforming a locking annular groove and to wash the lid cleanly by opening a contact annular groove of the lid. A hemispherical transparent salad bowl having an upper side opened to contain salad is composed of a salad bowl body(100) having a protruded contact annular rim(120) integrally formed along the opened upper outer periphery to form a locking annular groove; and a lid(200) comprising a contact annular rim provided to form a contact annular groove(220) closely contacting to the contact annular rim of the salad bowl body and elastically deformed to lock up in the locking annular groove, and at least one expansion recessed groove(210) curved inward along the outer periphery to elastically deform the locking annular rim(230) and elastically expanded.
