A channel switch method using a channel mark function in a television is provided to set a channel desired by a user as a tab and enable the user to conveniently and quickly switch to the set channel while the user watches another channel. A channel is selected by a remote controller input signal of a user. A tab setting key for setting a tab of a current channel is inputted. Characters for confirming whether the tab of the current channel is set are displayed on a television screen. The tab of the current channel is displayed such that a channel number of the current channel is displayed on a part of the television screen by a tab type. When a tap key is inputted from a remote controller, the current channel is directly switched to a channel of a tab corresponding to the inputted tab key. When a tab deletion key is inputted from the remote controller, a tab of a corresponding channel displayed on the television screen is deleted. When power of a television is turned off in a state that a tab of each channel is set, the set tab of each channel is automatically deleted.
