PURPOSE: A high speed sense amplifier using positive feedback and an operating method thereof are provided to improve a response speed of a sense amplifier circuit by quickly reducing the potential of an output node of the sense amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION: A sense amplifier circuit(200a) senses a voltage difference between a first output node and a second output node and amplifies the voltage difference. A first positive feedback current sink circuit(310a) performs a current sink operation to drop a voltage of a first output node by providing a first current sink path to the first output node if the voltage of the first output node has a first logic level and the voltage of a second output node has a second logic level when a sense amplifier enable signal is activated. A second positive feedback current sink circuit(330a) does not perform a current sink operation of the second output node if the voltage of the first output node is decreased by the current sink operation of the first positive feedback current sink circuit.
