PURPOSE: A demodulator and a programmable down converter are provided to minimize image components which can be generated between an I channel signal and a Q channel signal. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(210) can receive an external signal from the outside. A DDC unit(220) can process the external signal into a baseband signal. A decimation unit(230) can generally include a comb filter, a down sampler, and an integral filter. A half band filter unit(240) receives a baseband signal which is outputted from the decimation unit and down-sampled. A switching unit(250) includes a plurality of switches(250-1,250-2,250-n). A control unit(260) can control the overall operation of the receiving unit, a DDC(Direct Down Conversion) unit, the decimation unit, the half band filter unit, the switching unit, and a LPF(Low Pass Filter) unit.
