FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used for fast non-contact measurement of eye cornea diameter in carrying out LASIK operations in intra-operation prediction of diameter and dimensions of pedicle of corneal flap, formed by microkeratome. Device includes handle and fork-shaped measuring tip. On internal and on external surface on one of fork teeth not fewer than three steps, each of which together with internal surface of teeth and fork forms linear dimensions from 10 to 13 mm are located. In order to measure eye cornea diameter, device form is placed at maximally close distance from patient's eye cornea and internal tooth surface without fork steps is superposed with reference point on the intersection of cornea diameter and its circumference. Superposition of internal surface of fork tooth surface or steps or with cornea limb is achieved by smooth movement of fork by handle to nose or from it, obtained linear dimension of eye cornea is visually marked and memorised.EFFECT: increased efficiency of performed measurement and entire process of LASIK operation, when simple, fast and atraumatic method is used to carry out measurement of eye cornea diameter with sufficient degree of accuracy in order to predict diameter and dimensions of pedicle of corneal flap, formed by means of microkeratome.1 dwg |
