PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner with a scanning optical system that can be constituted miniaturized, in which the generation of bending of a scanning line is small and the bending of the scanning line is easily corrected. SOLUTION: A second scanning lens has refractive power in a subscanning direction, and an optical element deforming means is provided which varies the position of the center of curvature of the second scanning lens in the subscanning direction into a substantially parallel direction in the subscanning direction. Furthermore, a function Cs(y), which decides the curvature in the subscanning direction of the scanning lens deformed with the optical element deforming means in the subscanning direction with respect to the height of the lens, is defined so as to have only a single extremum in mirror face region, on the first face of the lens.
