ARAMID FABRICS AND AIRBAG FOR A CAR BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A fabric and an air bag with the same for an automobile are provided to remarkably lower stiffness using an aramid fiber, to ensure excellent mechanical property, and to minimize shock applied to the automobile and passengers. CONSTITUTION: An aramid fabric for an air bag(124) has an aramid fiber. The fineness of warp and weft is each 200-1000 denier. The density of the warp and weft is each 20-55th/inch. The stiffness of the aramid fabric is 1.5 kgf or less according to American Society for Testing Materials(ASTM) D4032 method. The tensile strength of the aramid fabric is 150 kgf/10mm or greater according to ASTM D5034 method. An air bag for an automobile contains the aramid fabric.
