PURPOSE: An image processing method, image display method, image processing apparatus, and computer recording medium are provided to create high contrast images from an image captured by a capturing apparatus including low bit numbers by processing an image by using a tone curve. CONSTITUTION: An image processing apparatus creates a histogram by using a pixel value of a captured photographed board image. The image processing apparatus creates a tone curve(T) based on the pixel value distribution(R) of the histogram. The tone curve is formed by a periodic function of a predetermined period(B) and a predetermined amplitude.
