<p>PURPOSE: A tap terminal is provided to achieve a high level user input process requested by users at low cost by allowing a user to set up or change the operation or the menu of a terminal of a user with a simple gesture. CONSTITUTION: A tap detection part(100) includes a first axis detecting sensor detecting the tap in the first axis direction, a second axis detecting sensor detecting the tap in the second axis direction, and a third axis detecting sensor detecting the tap in the third axis direction. A tap input checking part(300) receives a tap signal of each axial direction transmitted from the tap detection part, and checks the predetermined function corresponding to the tap signal of each axial direction. A tap setting changing part(400) sets up a corresponding mode or a menu according to the output of the tap input checking part. A driving part(500) implements an operation corresponding to the mode or the menu.
