<p>PURPOSE: A lane recognition apparatus and method thereof are provided to reduce probability of accumulated errors by recognizing a lane on world coordinates by extracting a point from an image. CONSTITUTION: A control unit extracts a plurality of supporting points from a received image(S120). The control unit converts the extracted supporting points into world coordinates(S130). The control unit displays a tracking result on a display unit based on a plurality of points corresponding to confirmed a curve(S140).
