PURPOSE: A data transception apparatus and a method thereof which supports an MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) are provided to reduce power consumption of a terminal and to supply smooth connection. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(910) receives data from a base station. A transmitter(920) transmits data to the base station. A controller(930) receives control information from the base station. The controller determines connection attempt for transmission to the base station based on the control information.
