PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to prevent vibration and noise by arranging a core in the outer periphery of a bearing housing. CONSTITUTION: A bearing assembly(20) includes a bearing(21) and a bearing housing(24). A stator(30) is fixed to the bearing housing. The stator includes a core(32) and a coil(34). A rotor(40) includes a yoke(42) and a magnet(44). The bearing housing includes a first and a second housing unit(25,26). The core is inserted into the first housing part. The upper side of the core hangs on the second housing part.
