PURPOSE: A content sharing system using a virtual group and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to share contents in a virtual group in which the user is involved, thereby sharing the contents corresponding to each group. CONSTITUTION: An identifier generation unit(211) generates and assigns one or more group identifiers for a user. A group matching unit(241) matches a virtual group and a group identifier each other. A sharing request receiving unit receives a sharing request for contents from the user. An identifier determination unit(260) determines whether or not the group identifier of the user is included in the group identifier matched with the virtual group.
