<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact fixed constant velocity universal joint which is highly efficient with less torque loss and heat generation, has a high operation angle, and is superior in strength and durability operation at a high operation angle. <P>SOLUTION: In the fixed constant velocity universal joint 1, track grooves 7 of an outer joint member 2 consists of first track grooves 7a located at the back side and second track grooves 7b located at the opening side. The first track grooves, each of which has an arc-shaped portion having the curvature center not offset in the axial direction to the joint center, are formed in such ways that the grooves are slanted in the circumferential direction to the axial line N-N and that the slant directions thereof are opposite to each other at the first track grooves adjacent. The second track grooves, each of which has a shape different from the first track grooves in order to increase effective track length, are formed in such a way that each first track groove and each second track groove are connected at the opening side from the joint center. Track grooves 9 of an inner joint member 3 and pairing grooves of the outer joint member are formed mirror-image symmetrically on the basis of a plane including the joint center at the operation angle of 0°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
