BRAKE MECHANISM FOR ROLL PAPER, AND THE CARTRIDGE CASE AND TAPE CARTRIDGE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake mechanism for roll paper or the like, capable of stably applying a rotation load to a tape core.

SOLUTION: This brake mechanism for roll paper comprises: a roll shaft 37 rotatably and axially supporting a tape 30 in which a printing tape 32 is wound around a tape core 33 so as to be delivered; and a braking means 38 incorporated into the roll shaft 37 and brought into slide contact with an inner circumferential surface of the rotating tape core 33, for applying a rotation braking force to the tape 30. The braking means 38 includes a spring piece 381 brought into slide contact with the inner circumferential surface of the tape core 33 and a braking spring 382 biasing the spring piece 381 toward the inner circumferential surface of the tape core 33.
