A disconnector comprises an upper connector, a valve, a pin. An end of the upper connector sleeves the valve. The pin runs through the upper connector, and is then connected to the valve. When a force between the upper connector and the vale is greater than the ultimate strength of the pin, the pin breaks, and the upper connector is separated from the valve. When the drill is stuck, a force is applied to the upper connector to pull the downhole tool upwards. When the pulling force applied between the upper connector and the connecting sleeve is greater than the ultimate strength of the pin, the pin breaks, and the upper connector is separated from the valve. Therefore, the disconnector saves the ball-pitching operation, and a cable can run through the center of the disconnector.
