<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acurately estimate a flow rate of EGR gas flowing into a cylinder in a system that adopts an EGR device for refluxing EGR gas in an intake passage upstream of a throttle valve of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: After a flow rate of gas that passes through an EGR valve is calculated using an EGR valve model 42 simulating a behavior of the EGR gas passing through the EGR valve, a flow rate of the EGR gas flowing into the cylinder is calculated using an EGR gas delay model 43 simulating a behavior of the EGR gas that has passed through the EGR valve passing through the throttle valve and flowing into the cylinder. The EGR gas delay model 43 is composed of a confluent delay model imitating a behavior of the EGR gas flowing into the intake passage upstream of the throttle valve, a confluent-delay model imitating a behavior of the EGR gas that has flowed into the intake passage upstream of the throttle valve passing through the throttle valve, a filling delay model imitating a behavior of the EGR gas that has passed through the throttle valve being supplied to the intake passage downstream of the throttle valve, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
