<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and a client management method capable of reducing time for retrieving log data of client devices by using index data. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device according to an embodiment includes storage means, log receiving means, and merge means. The storage means stores a plurality of log data and first index data corresponding to the plurality of log data. The log receiving means receives first log data and second index data corresponding to the first log data from client devices connected to each other through a network. The merge means generates third index data by merging the first index data and the second index data.
