<p>A bicycle is configured in such a manner that a saddle (5), a front wheel (12), and a rear wheel (15) are provided to a frame (1), a pair of left and right foot pedals (18) is provided through crank arms (19) to a crankshaft (20) provided to the frame (1), and a rear wheel drive chain (23) is passed between a drive sprocket (21) which is provided to the crankshaft (20) and a driven sprocket (22) which is provided to the rear rotating shaft (16) of the rear wheel (15). The upward movement of the foot on the side opposite the foot treading the foot pedal (18) is transmitted through a knee pedal (30) to a rotating body (36), which is provided to the crankshaft (20), to drive the bicycle, the knee pedal (30) being in contact with the rider's knee portion and being used to utilize the upward movement as a force for driving the crankshaft (20).</p> |
