<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device that brings about higher copyright protection of data. <P>SOLUTION: A memory device that communicates with a host device when being connected thereto includes: a nonvolatile semiconductor memory 31; a memory controller 72 for controlling the nonvolatile semiconductor memory 31 on the basis of a request from the host device; a radio section 22 that includes a radio-communication section 62 for radio-communicating; and a managing section 71. The managing section 71 manages storage of data by the memory device in accordance with a procedure for protecting copyright of the data and includes a comparing section 74 and an updating section 75. The comparing section 74 obtains a latest version of parameters that has possibility of being updated for copyright protection from an outside through the radio section 22 and compares parameters held by the memory device with parameters of the latest version. The updating section 75 updates the parameters held by replacing the parameters held with the parameters of the latest version when the parameters held and the parameters of the latest version do not coincide with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
