<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally combine a rotation movement from a crankshaft compressor with a high-speed piston movement of a nutating head compressor. <P>SOLUTION: A cam driven piston compressor includes; three cams 130 attached to camshaft of a motor while displacing 120° each other, driven by the motor, and each them rotating in a surface parallel to each other; cam followers 122 being in contact with each of the cams; pistons attached to each of the followers; cylinders enclosing each of the pistons; and a compressor head in contact with each of the cylinders. At least two cylinders have different diameters. Each of the cams has a shape for contributing to a 240° input rotation that is used for pulling out the pistons and a 120° output rotation that is used for pulling in the pistons. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
