<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can satisfactorily remove humidity in a sheet storage part by a low-cost structure without providing a specific humidity sensor for individual sheet storage parts. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a sheet feed cassette 3 that is freely opened and closed with respect to a body 2; an outside humidity sensor 22 for measuring humidity outside the apparatus; an opening and closing detection sensor 23 for detecting that the sheet feed cassette 3 is opened and closed; a dehumidification heater 25 for removing humidity in the sheet feed cassette 3; a time measuring part 21 for measuring time; and a main control part 17 that sets, based on the output obtained from each of the outside humidity sensor 22, the opening and closing detection sensor 23, and the time measuring part 21, a dehumidification time, which is a time for operating the dehumidification heater 25 so that the time corresponds to the outside humidity of the image forming apparatus 1 and the opened time of the sheet feed cassette 3, and operates the dehumidification heater 25 for the dehumidification time when the sheet feed cassette 3 is closed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
