Provided is a liquid-crystal display device, comprising: a liquid crystal panel (202) further comprising a plurality of sub-pixels (204) wherein the pixels (203) which include the sub-pixels (204) are positioned in a matrix and either left-eye sub-pixels or right-eye sub-pixels are allocated at a ratio which is predetermined according to a ratio of the numbers of left-eye pixels and right-eye sub-pixels which are included in adjacent pixels (203) such that the numbers of left-eye sub-pixels and right-eye sub-pixels in all pixels (203) are approximately equal; and a drive circuit which writes image information of a left-eye image to the left-eye sub-pixels and writes image information of a right-eye image to the right-eye sub-pixels.
