PURPOSE: A workpiece positioning device is provided to precisely match the position of workpieces and the position of a tool in an inspection and machining section by controlling the operation of driving parts. CONSTITUTION: A workpiece positioning device comprises a detector and a workpiece positioning device. The detector detects information on the position of an X-axis(X), the position of a Y-axis, and a rotational angle(Θ) around an axis vertical to an X-Y plane in a machining and inspection section(R). The positioning device comprises a pair of moving parts(62,63), a pair of driving parts(64), gripping parts(1,8), and a control part. The pair of driving parts drives the pair of the moving parts. The gripping parts are installed in the moving parts to grip workpieces. The control part controls the operation of the driving parts to match a tool and the workepices.
