<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of releasing a pressure of toner accumulated between a photoreceptor drum and a cleaning blade without affecting the longevity of the photoreceptor drum. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 comprises photoreceptor drums 21A to 21D, an intermediate transfer belt 31, cleaning blades 250A to 250D, a cam mechanism 36 and a drive motor 26. The photoreceptor drums 21B to 21D carry single color toner images. The intermediate transfer belt has a toner image transferred thereon from at least one of the photoreceptor drums 21A to 21D. Cleaning blades 250A to 250D remove toner left on the post-transfer photoreceptor drums 21A to 21D. The cam mechanism 36 switches, after finishing color image forming processing, a contact state between the photoreceptor drums 21A to 21D and the intermediate transfer belt 31 to a separation state. A drive motor 26 rotates reversely the photoreceptor drums 21B to 21D after the contact state is switched to the separation state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
