<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a detection object collection implement which can more accurately detect detection objects, such as microorganisms collected at an inspection place. <P>SOLUTION: A method for using a detection object collection implement includes a collection dish which holds a carrier for collecting a detection object on one surface side thereof. The collection dish has a through-hole for linking the one surface side to the other surface side. After collection operation of the detection object is performed by facing the carrier upward, the carrier is directed downward and raised in the temperature.
