摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance assemblability of an attenuating force generating mechanism in a shock absorber. <P>SOLUTION: In the shock absorber, a flow of hydraulic oil caused by sliding movement of a piston in a cylinder 2 is controlled by a pilot type main valve 27 and a pilot valve 28 to generate damping force. The valve-opening operation of the main valve 27 is controlled by adjusting the pressure in a pilot chamber 51 with the pilot valve 28. A valve block 30 to which a main valve 27 of the attenuating force generating mechanism 26 and the pilot valve 28 are incorporated and a solenoid block 31 are sub-assembled and connected together into one unit and inserted into a casing 25 and fixed with a nut 34. At this time, an actuating rod 76 of the solenoid block 31 is engaged with a pilot valve member 56 retained by a pilot spring 59 and a fail-safe spring 60 in a cylindrical portion 37C of a pilot body 37 of the valve block 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
