<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material, to which a hydrophilic layer containing ethylene glycol chains (EG chains) composed of one or more ethylene glycol units is introduced on a surface of a plastic-containing substrate, and a method for producing the base material. <P>SOLUTION: A primer layer containing poly siloxane is arranged on a substrate whose surface contains plastic. By linking EG chains through covalent bonds with poly siloxane side chains on the primer layer, a hydrophilic layer containing the EG chains can be formed on the surface of the plastic-containing substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
