<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a brake line in order to send sensor signals of an ABS and an ESP. <P>SOLUTION: A brake system 10 is provided for braking at least one wheel 16 of a vehicle. The brake system includes: at least one brake actuator 20 assigned to the wheel 16; a hydraulic pressure unit 18; at least one brake line route 32 that includes at least one conductive brake line that connects a hydraulic pressure unit to a brake actuator 20; a control device 24 to control and/or regulate the hydraulic pressure; a sensor 26 assigned to the wheel 16; and a signal line 40 that connects the control device 24 to the sensor 26 with a signal technology.
